Brazilian Jiu Jitsu / No-Gi Jean Jacques Machado 2nd Degree Black Belt

Matt Baker is one of the most decorated Black Belts directly from Jean Jacques Machado of the World renown "Machado Brothers", [Cousins of the Gracies]. Other Black belts under Jean Jacques Machado include Eddie Bravo, and Rico Rodriguez. Matt was awarded his Black Belt directly from Jean Jacques Machado in 2007. He was promoted to Black Belt with first degree in 2010, second degree in 2013, and Black Belt with third degree in 2016. Matt Baker is also the founder of the TRUJITSU revolution, a style of jiu jitsu designed to provide maximum results with minimal effort. Matt Baker developed the TRUJITSU system based on years of experience in competition and extensive experience as a referee..

Matt has a practical approach to Jiu Jitsu that is specifically designed to win competitions as well as survive when under attack by stronger opponents for both gi and no-gi competition. Matt is also a guest instructor on Jean Jacques Machado's online training program that reaches students world wide.

Matt has been actively training, teaching and competing in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for 20 years. He recently released his second DVD Instructional "The Jiu-Jitsu Lab - Series Two - Thirty Ways to Attack the Back and Advanced Sitting Guard Recovery". In addition to extensive experience as a coach and competitor Matt is also a referee for various tournament organizations such as IBJJF, Grappling X, Grapplers Quest, and the North American Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation [NABJJF].
